7CROSSING brings a bold and exciting brand of jazz fusion to the stage. Born out of the creative and popular era of jazz artists when the boundaries of funk, jazz, pop and rock were fused, 7CROSSING is heavily influenced by Weather Report, Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters, Miles Davis, and The Brecker Brothers. Add to that the vocals of Joy Francis and David Fernandez on saxophone, and you have a concert packed with explosive talent and broad appeal. The band, made up of an All-Star lineup of South Florida musicians, demands attention with their experience and artistic flair, drawing equally from original material as well as reinterpreting the music from the Jazz-Fusion tradition.

The core of the rhythm section–Clay Ostwald (keyboards), Lindsey Blair (guitar), Jorge Casas (bass), Olbin Burgos (drums) and Edwin Bonilla (percussion)–is most famous as the rhythm section of the renowned “Miami Sound Machine”. With Grammy award winning productions and nominations, numerous awards, hit songs and multi-platinum selling albums to their credit including an American Music Award for “Best Duo or Group”, they have already made their mark on the music world.  David Fernandez and Joy Francis have both appeared numerous times with Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine as well, and are both veteran studio musicians and performers.   The bands’ credits include hundreds of productions, recordings and live concert appearances with the most successful performers in the business, such as:

Gloria Estefan, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Jennifer Lopez, David Lee Roth, Jon Secada, Nestor Torres, Tony Bennett, Manhattan Transfer, Shakira, Carlos Vives, Alejandro Sanz, Jaci Velasquez, Ziggy Marley, Celia Cruz, Gladys Knitght, Thalia, Cachao, Maynard Ferguson, David Leibman, Jeff Beck, Aretha Franklin, 2 Live Crew, Bobby Caldwell, Gerry Mulligan, Bob Minzer, Arturo Sandoval, Peabo Bryson, The Funk Brothers, Queen Latifa, Joe Henderson, Ziggy Marley, Gladys Knight and Buster Poindexter.
